Who We Are

Complete dental is a general dental practice. We aim to exceed expectations by providing expert dental care at a very affordable price and with prompt customer service to our patients. We see great importance in educating our patients so they are empowered to make knowledgeable decisions concerning their oral health and treatment options. We are passionate about what we do and we want our patients to feel confident that they will receive the best care dentistry has to offer at the lowest possible cost. Shailendra Kumar Jain

Dentist

Shailendra did his BDS from India in 1980. After completing his BDS he served in Indian Army for five years. He practiced for 16 years as a private dental practitioner in India before coming to New Zealand in 2006. Dentistry has always been his passion. He keeps on updating his knowledge about the latest advancements in Dentistry and brings them in practice too.His passion towards dentistry led him to providing advanced dental treatments like Orthodontic treatment (Fixed Braces), Implants and Full mouth reconstruction very successfully, being a general dentist. He firmly believes in "Prevention is better than Cure." He always likes to inform his patients about their treatment options with the risks & complications involved.

He is married to Kusum, who is working as Practice Manager in his Tauranga practice ‘Complete Dental Care’. They have two lovely daughters.

Miqat Al- Sabahi

Dentist

Hello, I am Miqat. Originally from Oman, I have moved to NZ to start my journey in dentistry. I graduated with Bachelor of dental surgery from University of Otago. I am dedicated to all aspects of general dental practice, with a focus on minimally invasive, patient-centered care. My approach emphasizes patient education and prevention, ensuring that each patient's needs are effectively met. As my passion for dentistry continues to flourish, I strive to make a positive contribution to the community. Outside of work, I love spending time at the gym and exploring fantastic walking tracks, enjoying the beauty of nature.

Chelsea Chai

Dentist

Hi, I am Chelsea. I graduated Bachelor of Dental Surgery with distinction from University of Otago. I then moved from Auckland to the Bay of Plenty. I joined the lovely team of Complete Dental in 2022.

I am responsible, easy-going and compassionate in nature. I believe in building rapport with my patients and ensuring that they have a positive experience which is key to good dentistry. I find that dentistry is incredibly rewarding when a trusting and reliable relationship is developed between the dental team and patients.

Moving to New Zealand from China at a young age, I had a bicultural and bilingual upbringing. This allows me to effectively communicate and empathise with patients of multiple ethnic backgrounds.

Outside dentistry, I like to read and cook. I love cooking new dishes for my family and friends. As a newcomer to the lovely town, I am looking forwards to discovering everything Rotorua has to offer.

Tracey Bourke

Practice Manager

Hello, my name is Tracey and I have been the Practice Manager at Complete Dental for 7 years now, but I joined the dental industry about 30 years ago.

What I love about my job is getting to know the patients and continuing to build strong, functioning relationships to ensure that every patient has a smooth and relaxing visit in a caring and welcoming environment.

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy quality time with my family and friends, especially my beautiful grandchildren.

Shai Andrews

Dental Assistant/Receptionist

Hi, my name is Shai. I am new to the dental industry and loving it so far.

What I love about working at Complete Dental are the countless learning opportunities and being involved in the variety of services we offer. I have had the chance to assist in several surgical procedures with Dr Shailendra Jain and have gained a wealth of new knowledge and skills.

After working closely with Dr Chelsea and our practice manager Tracey I have been able to build a good rapport with a number of our patients and aid in making their experience a positive one.

Outside of work I enjoy being in nature, painting, and spending time with my dog Honey.

Avi Kewel

Dental Assistant/Receptionist

I am originally from the beautiful Islands of Fiji, famous for its’s white sandy beaches and 5-star resorts.

I have more than 4-years, experience in the dental setting. I like interacting with people and making new friends. I love my job at Complete Dental because of the friendly and empathetic staff here.

Outside of work my hobbies are reading and playing soccer.
